Diane Howard discovered the magic of The Masterson Method® in 2010 and certified in 2011. Shortly thereafter, she was asked to be a mentor and coach. She lives on the French/Swiss border near Geneva and welcomes clients in the region. In addition to bodywork, Diane offers equine behavioral consulting, in person and remotely.

She has trained in multiple bodywork modalities, including sports massage, Tellington Touch, myofascial release, and acupressure and finds these to be good complements to the Masterson work.

Diane has also studied behavior and animal training with leading authorities, having had in-person, hands-on classes with Ken Ramirez, Susan Friedman, Steve Martin, Shawna Karrasch and Jenifer Zeligs. She is a Level 1 TAGteacher, which helps her train humans to work with their horses.

Academically, Diane has a Diploma in Equine Studies and an Equine Welfare Certificate from the University of Guelph, both with honors. She graduated with distinction with an MSc in Equine Science from the University of Edinburgh in 2020. For her dissertation, she created a short questionnaire for monitoring chronic pain in horses with chronic arthritis and in 2021 received a grant from the Morris Animal Foundation to continue working on the project.

Diane’s two passions are being a bridge to bring useful scientific knowledge to the equine lay community to improve horse welfare and human happiness and rehabilitating—physically and mentally—horses that people have given up on.
