Course: This is an online, interactive Zoom course with live instruction. Develop a comprehensive understanding of canine anatomy and biomechanics to strengthen your ability to accurately assess, interpret, and apply the Masterson Method® Canine Bodywork techniques for optimal results. This course will be held three consecutive weeks on Saturdays, starting at 11:00 am Central Time:

Students should plan each weekly class lasting up to two hours.

Certificate of completion requires students to attend all classes.

Description

Week 1: Muscular & Skeletal Foundations

Build a detailed understanding of the canine muscular and skeletal systems, including the structure and function of muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and bones. Discover how these systems interact to support movement, stability, and overall physical health.

Week 2: Conformation & Biomechanics 

Dive into canine conformation and movement, exploring biomechanics and how structure influences performance and comfort. Learn to identify potential musculoskeletal challenges across different breeds and sporting activities.

Week 3: Nervous & Sensory Systems

Gain insight into the canine nervous system and skin as integral parts of movement, coordination, and sensory awareness. Understand their role in biomechanics and how they relate to hands-on bodywork and therapeutic touch.
