This course is for young horse lovers and riders who wish to learn how to help their horse feel more comfortable in their body while improving trust and communication. Please visit our Masterson Method Equine Bodywork Course for Youth for more information.

Members of the United States Pony Club (USPC) Sierra Pacific Region are welcome to register for this course. If you are not a member of a US Pony Club within this region, please contact the organizer, Mimi Duffy prior to registering.

By attending this course, you will learn a few techniques of The Masterson Method equine bodywork so that you can help your pony back home (ponies will be provided on-site). Hopefully, these techniques will become a part of your regular horse activities and horse management program to help improve your pony’s comfort and performance while building trust.

The course is geared towards students under the age of 18, however members of all ages are welcome to attend.

Which Course Do I Select?

Select the course you wish to attend based on your USPC certification and interest:

  • Half-day course is for all USPC certification levels. This is an introduction to The Masterson Method. You will get hands-on assistance learning select techniques on ponies. Typically runs from 9am-11:45am (please bring your own beverages).
  • Full-day course is for USPC D3 and above certifications. This includes the above morning introduction, plus additional practice time in the afternoon learning movement techniques. Typically runs from 9am-4pm and includes a lunch break (please bring your own lunch and beverages).
