Tanja was born in Denmark and since the age of 7 she has always had horses in her life. She started racing and jumping ponies but eventually fell in love with dressage.

Tanja has worked professionally as barn manager, show groom, rider and Veterinary Technician the last 10 years. After having started Agriculture school in Denmark to get a degree in farm management with horses as specialty, she found an internship with the Danish Olympic dressage rider Lars Petersen in Wellington, Florida. In the five years she stayed with Lars she learned everything there is to know about the daily maintenance that goes into keeping a competition horse at top level.

She then decided to work as a Veterinary Technician in hopes of learning more about the physical aspect of the horse which led her to Palm Beach Equine Clinic in Wellington, Fl where she worked under Dr. William Patterson who specializes in neck and spine. Through this period of time she got more and more interested in the anatomy and the biomechanics of the horse and that is when Tanja started to look into a way for her to help the horses with her own hands and found an article about The Masterson Method®.

Tanja decided to attend a weekend workshop and was very impressed with The Masterson Method®. Working with competition horses she was also fortunate to have worked with different Equine Physiotherapists, massage therapists and chiropractors and has learned a lot from each kind of therapy but found that The Masterson Method® really opens up a different way of reading and listening to the horse that is much more effective.

Tanja is looking forward to be able to help horse owners in North East NY in the summer and in South Florida in the winter .
