A woman smiling, with a horse.

Lifelong animal lover, I grew up in the Midwest and loved riding my relatives’ horses. When my daughter started lessons at five, I did as well, but I fell for barn life, learned horsemanship from a trainer, and fast forward, we currently have three horses of our own on our farm. I prefer to walk alongside them rather than on them.

I have always felt very connected to animals–knowing that they feel our every breath and intention. I am a rescuer at heart, and in my personal life, I have connected with so many pets and animals on a deeper level. They each have their own story, and through communication, listening, and bodywork, I feel that we can get one step closer to building the trust and security they all need to feel. Animals will share if we only listen, and helping them find balance helps to create balance in my own life.

We now live in New York’s beautiful Hudson Valley. My daughter continued lessons on our farm and at Winslow Therapeutic Center. When we moved here, I wanted to be involved in our community, and Winslow was the perfect fit. I attended a Mindful Horsemanship clinic at Winslow, which led me to become a volunteer. When they offered a Masterson Method® clinic, I immediately signed up–instantly knowing this was my path. I later completed the Masterson Method® Beyond Horse Massage Weekend Course and the Masterson Method® Equine Specialist Course.

Winslow has been such an inspiration to me, and I have developed deep friendships. Their equine-assisted programs help those with and without disabilities learn, grow, and gain confidence–my daughter included. It is so amazing to watch the bond grow between horse and rider. I hope to offer horses and people the chance to experience the Masterson Method®, bringing comfort, connection, and renewed confidence to every horse and person who joins us.

Horses are so bright and have so much healing power for us–helping them feel better fills me with joy!
