I was lucky enough to grow up on a large cattle property in Queensland, Australia, which surrounded me with many different animals including a large number of horses.
After finishing school, I spent many years training horses of all types, disciplines and behaviours and sought out many extraordinary mentors throughout my equine journey (horses and humans) across Australia, Canada and the United States.
Life eventually took me down another path for many years working on helicopters as an aircraft engineer. During this time I continued to train horses on weekends and my passion to help horses with “issues” grew. I loved building a relationship with horses and guiding them through their discomfort when they were ready and willing.
My curiosity into the horse’s body and how tension in muscles affects different movements led me into the realm of equine bodywork. After trying different modalities, I was seeking a whole-body approach to bodywork that actually gave lasting results and when I discovered the Masterson Method® I finally found what I was looking for. Not long later I kicked off my Masterson Method journey by attending a 2-day Masterson Method Weekend Course.
It is a great honour for me to be a MMCP (Masterson Method Certified Practitioner) in Australia.
My business, Hands For Horses, has allowed me to witness amazing transformations in horses. It gives me so much joy to improve horse’s wellbeing and seeing the relief and happiness it brings to the owner.
I am so grateful to be able to do this everyday and I am excited to see where the Masterson Method journey takes me.
