My journey into equine therapy began through the rehabilitation of my own horse. What started as a personal challenge quickly developed into a passion for postural development, rehabilitation, ethical training practices, and equine bodywork. Through this experience, I became fascinated by the connection between movement, posture, comfort, and performance, leading me to pursue further education and practical experience in equine bodywork and equine biomechanics.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Sports Therapy and a Postgraduate Certificate in Secondary Education specializing in Physical Education, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). These qualifications have provided me with a strong understanding of biomechanics, movement, rehabilitation, and performance. I am now proud to be a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner (MMCP), adding another valuable dimension to my knowledge.
Based in Great Dunmow, Essex, I work with horses across a wide area, traveling throughout Essex, London, and into Norfolk. My business, Scarlett’s Equine Therapy, takes a holistic approach to equine wellbeing, combining groundwork, posture training, core strengthening, spinal function rehabilitation, and bodywork to support each horse as an individual.
For many years, I felt there was a missing piece in my practice and knowledge. Discovering The Masterson Method® provided that missing link. Its unique approach has deepened and consolidated my understanding, strengthening the connection between bodywork, functional movement, and performance outcomes for my clients.
My aim is to help horses achieve greater comfort, body awareness, and functional movement, supporting their long-term wellbeing, soundness, and performance. I am passionate about empowering owners to better understand their horses and helping every horse reach their full potential through thoughtful, horse-centered care.
