Michelle grew up on a farm in northeast Iowa, where horses and ponies were as much a part of daily life as the fields and barns. Her deep love for animals—especially horses—was inspired by her father, who instilled in her a lifelong appreciation for their care and well-being. She spent countless hours caring for and riding her horses, developing a connection that would shape her future.

As an adult, Michelle passed that passion and knowledge on to her children as they cared for and enjoyed their own trail horses. When her children left for college and began their own adventures, Michelle continued her equestrian journey, expanding her experience into the Thoroughbred and hunter/jumper world. She embraced the opportunity to learn about a new breed and discipline while continuing to deepen her understanding of the horse.

Today, Michelle shares her life with an amazing Quarter Horse gelding. While searching for ways to better support his physical, mental, and emotional well-being, she discovered The Masterson Method®. Drawn to its unique, horse-centered approach and emphasis on communication and partnership, she quickly realized she had found a philosophy that aligned perfectly with her own.

Inspired by a lifelong love of horses, Michelle became a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner to help horses experience greater comfort, freedom of movement, and overall well-being. She is passionate about helping each horse release tension, improve performance, and feel their best through gentle, interactive bodywork that respects the horse’s responses throughout each session.

Committed to lifelong learning, Michelle continues to study equine anatomy, biomechanics, movement, and behavior to better understand how and why horses develop patterns of tension and restriction. This ongoing education allows her to provide thoughtful, individualized sessions that support each horse’s comfort, performance, and long-term wellness.

Whether working with performance horses, trail companions, or cherished family horses, Michelle’s goal is the same: to help every horse feel better in its body so it can move, perform, and connect with its people more comfortably and confidently.
