Mary is a lifelong resident of Wisconsin, growing up in the rural northern part of the state and moving to the city of Madison to attend the University of Wisconsin. While her family didn’t own horses, living in a farming community there were always horses to ride. Mary’s husband grew up riding hunter/jumpers, so it was important that their two daughters learned to ride and had plenty of opportunities to be around horses as they were growing up. Once her kids were launched, Mary and her husband moved back to the country. Mary decided it was time to get that horse she always wanted and purchased her quarter horse mare, Shelby. After seeing a demonstration of The Masterson Method® at the 2011 Midwest Horse Fair, Mary decided that equine bodywork and massage was her calling.
