Keegan is a lifelong Montana resident who has spent a great deal of her adult life working and living in and around the Bob Marshall Wilderness.  After 20 years as a backcountry seasonal, she decided to switch gears to a self-employed lifestyle to free up some time to recreate rather than work in the backcountry.  She went to massage school (for humans) and started a practice in 2019.  After 5 years without horses as part of the mode of travel in the backcountry, she started building her own herd and took an interest in expanding bodywork for equines, in addition to her human practice.  The Masterson Method® was something she stumbled across and once she saw the results of what it could do with trust and connection in her own animals, she was all in.

After working in the backcountry for the Forest Service and Outfitters and having exposure to many different animals, she’s now passionate to give back to similar herds. For large mountain herds (government and outfitter animals), these animals experience many different riders, managers and caretakers through their life, and work hard for them all.  Masterson Method is an amazing tool to incorporate to help maintain and monitor wellness, as well as work through tension and improve trust issues that have developed.  Through her prior connections she’s been able to introduce some large herds to the Masterson Method and use it as a tool to maintain, monitor and improve health in herds and individual animals. It’s become a mission for her to give back to these mountain animals that so willingly give their all to so many.
