I was bitten by the horse bug from an early age. I had a pony at the age of 6 and quickly graduated to a calm QH gelding who was with me until my teenage years. I sought out horses after moving to Los Angeles in the early 1990’s. I did everything from taking lessons in all the disciplines to volunteering at horse rescues and finally adopting my own horse in 2008.
My horse was named Starfire. She was a rescue who had severe arthritis among other things. (Her full story can be found in the Masterson blog under Rescue stories). I quickly realized I needed a therapy I could do between chiro and bodywork visits. I found The Masterson Method® and quickly became hooked. I decided to continue my bodywork certification in her honor after she passed in January 2019. My journey to certification took longer than most because of life’s ups and downs but I finally made it! I’m so excited to be a part of the Masterson family of like-minded horse people.
