If you are looking through these pages, you are a horse lover, and want to do all you can to help them. I have seen first hand how the Masterson Method® does that. I was attending an Advanced Horse Academy class offered through the equine therapy barn where I volunteer. The Instructor showed us the Bladder Meridian and mentioned that even though she was not certified in the Masterson Method, she knew how well the technique worked. The next day I tried it on several horses and got chills as I watched each one pause, blink, lick and chew, and release tension. I was hooked and had to learn more.
My background is pretty eclectic–I studied theatre and language arts, got a degree in counseling and studied exercise science. I have been active in the National Ski Patrol and taught the medical part of that for years, so learning more about how this hands-on bodywork could serve horses and their owners was a natural.
I’ve had the good fortune to be able to work with horses for the past ten years in an equine therapy facility in many capacities and have been able to use the Masterson Method with the thirty or so horses that work there. Most often these are horses in their second or third career change and they come in with a vast array of conditions. They have taught me so much!
