My name is Colleen Cathcart, and my journey with horses began at the age of 7. Like many young horse lovers, I found myself immersed in the magical world of these majestic creatures, eagerly seeking any opportunity to be in their presence.
Driven by a deep curiosity for understanding the intricacies of equine anatomy and movement, I embarked on a path that led me to the realm of equine bodywork. It was during this exploration and seeking answers for my mount, and ex TB, I discovered the Masterson Method—a gentle yet effective approach to releasing tension in the horse through subtle movement and touch.
What captivated me most about the Masterson Method® was witnessing the tangible results as the horses worked through layers of tension, revealing newfound freedom and comfort in their bodies. Despite their inability to vocalize discomfort, horses possess an innate ability to communicate their needs, guiding us toward methods that promote their well-being.
Since becoming a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner (MMCP) in May 2023, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of equine companions, from schoolies and seniors to high-level competition horses. My expertise extends to thoroughbreds, young prospects, busy minds, and those with demanding schedules.
Based in the Kawartha Lakes, I am delighted to serve clients not only in my local area but also in surrounding regions, including Belleville and the Caledon/Greater Toronto Area. Whether your horse is seeking relief from tension, enhancing performance, or simply aiming for optimal wellness, I am here to partner with you on their journey toward their fullest potential.
