My background is a bit different to most MMCP’s out there. Although I’ve been around horses my whole life and own a super cute Iceland horse myself, my whole past life evolved around professional alpine skiing. I came to a point in my career where I suffered from a severe brain/nervous system/vertebrae injury (had to quit) and at the same time my horse did not perform and feel well. So I was looking things up on the internet how to cure my own injury and which therapy forms would help. As I’d been googling for that as well as how to help my horse feel and perform better, I stumbled across The Masterson Method®.
Although this was not the thing I was looking for to help myself with my injury, I got curious because I had the time off and wanted to help my horse. After attending the Weekend Course as well as the Advanced 5-Day Course back to back, I was amazed by the magic Masterson does, so I continued all the way through certification. And the best part about my Masterson journey was that I got in touch with so many amazing people, had good talks and eventually one of them (thank you again from the bottom of my heart Leigh) told me about a similar treatment (as Masterson) for humans when I said: ‘Oh my god, this stuff is so good, why doesn’t anything similar like Masterson exist for humans as well, that would really help me with my injury’.
So in the end, starting the Masterson journey has not only helped me with my horse (and several others I met during Fieldwork, as well as the ones I work on now) but also my health – it’s amazing isn’t it. Until I started with Masterson, I really thought I had figured out throughout my career how bodies work (no matter if animal or human) but the focus of: working with the horse (and it’s body) and not on it (basically against it) changed my whole life. I am also certified in energy/spiritual healing treatments with animals (and humans) which is also a very gentle and light way of treatment, so Masterson just fits perfectly into my life.
