Kari Scott is a Masterson Method Equine Specialist, professional training designer, and meditation coach. She started her life with horses at about 6 years old with lessons at a local barn, and kept riding through college, when she competed on Miami University’s equestrian team. For several years, she led a non-profit for youth riders, supporting an Interscholastic Equestrian Association riding team.
Kari has always been interested in building relationships and improving the lives of the horses she has known. She often spends time meditating with the herd of lesson horses at her current barn. (Other barn clients have become accustomed to seeing Kari standing or sitting with the herd in the pasture, eyes closed and breathing deeply.)
Using Jim Masterson’s Beyond Horse Massage book, Kari started teaching herself the Masterson Method bodywork techniques to deepen her relationship with the horse she leases. She had some success helping her gelding release tension he held in his shoulders, and quickly realized there was more to the methods than she could teach herself. She pursued the Equine Specialist certification with the hopes of helping bring release and deep relaxation to not only the herd she knows well, but to other horses and herds in the EAS/EAL community in central Ohio.
Kari has volunteered with EAS/EAL programs in her area as a side-walker, fund-raiser, contributor, and general volunteer. She now can offer those programs a new set of skills by teaching other volunteers the Bladder Meridian technique to offer a gift to the hard-working horses.
Kari is available in the central Ohio area to teach EAS/EAL and lesson program volunteers, clients, employees, or participants how to perform the Bladder Meridian technique on horses to give them gift of release and relaxation. She is also available to run meditation sessions on your farm with your horses. Contact her at .
