After 25 years of working as an attorney and academic law librarian, Amy moved to a ranch in rural Marin County in 2020 and began exploring ways of connecting more deeply with horses. She owns two geldings–a 30ish rescue, Merlin, and a quarter horse, Bingo. She volunteers weekly with Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center as a horse handler in therapeutic riding classes and finds it inspiring and magical to apply Masterson Method® techniques to the program’s horses. She is looking forward to working with other equine therapy programs in the North Bay that are interested in integrating Masterson techniques into their programming and giving back to the wonderful horses that work with clients in EAT programs.
