I am Monique Peereboom from Sittard in the south of the Netherlands. Animals have always played an important part in my life and over the years my work with them has developed in many different directions. My background includes animal care and veterinary support, as well as canine sports massage, myofascial and craniosacral techniques, animal communication and energy healing.
My journey with The Masterson Method® began with horses more than twenty years ago. What drew me to The Masterson Method® then, and still does today, is the idea of working with the animal rather than simply working on the animal. For me, observing, listening and allowing the animal to have a voice in the session are essential parts of good bodywork.
Becoming an MMCP Canine therefore felt like a natural next step. Dogs communicate in their own subtle and very individual ways, and I love the process of slowing down enough to notice what they are telling us. Every dog is different, and I enjoy working with dogs of all breeds, sizes and backgrounds. Whether a dog is young or old, confident or more sensitive, I believe each deserves the same patient, respectful and individual approach.
My different areas of experience come together in my practice, Holismo. The name reflects the way I like to work: seeing the animal as a whole, rather than focusing only on one isolated area, and staying open to both the physical and more subtle ways in which animals communicate.
As both an MMCP Equine and MMCP Canine, I am very happy to be able to offer The Masterson Method® to horses and dogs in the south of the Netherlands, alongside the wider experience I have built through many years of working with animals.
