Crissi met her first horse when she was two years old, and they’ve had a hold on her ever since. She went through a journey many do: lessons, mucking stalls in trade for riding friend’s horses, babysitting to earn enough money for lessons, watching (and then later participating in) horse shows, getting certified as a CHA instructor, getting a first horse (and more after that), falling off, and getting back on.
She’s had the pleasure to participate in western riding, working cattle, leading trail rides, managing large herds, showing in Hunt Seat Equitation and Dressage, taking jumping lessons, working with many different breeds of horses and people from all over the world, as well as becoming certified as an equine herbalist in 1999. She began her Masterson Method® journey in 2014 and became an MMCP in 2016. She’s the author of two books, Continuing The Ride: Rebuilding Confidence from the Ground Up, and Getting Along with Horses: An Evolution in Understanding.
After teaching for nearly three decades, and learning from thousands of horses and riders, she feels grateful that she and her husband can continue this work with the added dimension of The Masterson Method®.
She teaches clinics with her husband, Mark Rashid, throughout the United States and continually learns from the horses she works with. Being able to offer such an effective method of bodywork at their clinics has the added bonus of helping horses feel good inside and out.
