A woman, standing with her horse.

Hi, I’m Danae! I am an equine bodyworker based in Lawrence, Kansas, specializing in The Masterson Method®.

I have loved being with horses for as long as I can remember. My interest in equine bodywork began as a young girl when I discovered the book Touching Horses by Marion Keselle and Pamela Hanna at the library. I was captivated by the idea that we could support a horse’s health and well-being with our hands. At the time, resources for equine bodywork were not available where I lived, and unsure how to pursue that dream, I set it aside for many years.

Several years ago, I was introduced to The Masterson Method®, and it felt like coming home. Rooted in the belief that horses know what they need, The Masterson Method® empowers them to actively participate in releasing tension at key junctions of the body, supporting the nervous system, and enhancing performance. This approach resonated deeply because it honors the horse’s voice and invites them to guide their own healing process.

Today, I am fulfilling my childhood dream working with horses of all disciplines and backgrounds, helping them release tension, improve comfort and restore balance. My practice is built on trust, intuition and respect for the horse’s innate wisdom. Each session is a partnership, guided by the horses.

Whether working with performance horses or beloved companions, my mission is simple: to create a safe, supportive space where horses can let go of tension and rediscover freedom of movement—mindful that true healing begins when we slow down and listen.
