Hallo und willkommen,
Ich bin Marja Kuhl und lebe im Landkreis Gifhorn in Niedersachsen / Deutschland und bin seit April 2024 sowohl Masterson Method Certified Practitioner Equine (MMCP), als auch Masterson Method Equine Specialist (MMES).
Wie so viele war ich früh mit dem Pferdevirus infiziert, obwohl Pferde in meiner sonstigen Familie keine Rolle spielten. Trotzdem gelang es mir auf Umwegen als gebürtiges Stadtkind immer wieder irgendwie an Möglichkeiten zum Pferdekontakt zu kommen. Ein Umzug aufs Land bot neue Möglichkeiten und so kaufte ich mir vom Ersparten mit 14 mein erstes Pony und die lebenslange Reise begann so richtig. Es gab bisher viele Stationen auf dieser Reise, vom Freizeit-, über Western-, Distanzreiten bis hin zu Abstechern in die Turnierwelt bis in den internationalen Bereich als Meldestelle oder „Bodenpersonal“ für die reitende Tochter.
Früh schon begleitete mich das Gefühl, es müsse doch noch mehr geben, die Idee fehlender Puzzleteile bezüglich des Zusammenlebens und Umgangs mit diesen wundervollen Tieren. So traf ich in den Jahren viele bekannte Pferdeleute auf deren Seminaren, wälzte Bücher und besuchte Kurse. Mit der Masterson-Welt kam ich in Kontakt, als ich meine Pferde für einen Wochenend-Kurs zur Verfügung stellte. Mir war sofort klar, das ich genau das auch lernen wollte, zum Wohle der Tiere und auch für mich.
Im Rahmen der Ausbildung zur Masterson Method-Therapeutin haben sich für mich viele Puzzleteile angefunden, zusammengefügt und ganz neue Lernfelder und Sichtweisen eröffnet. Ich hatte und habe die Gelegenheit meinen Horizont ständig zu erweitern und so eine eigene Sicht auf die Dinge zu entwickeln. Und das beste: In der absoluten „pro Pferd“ Haltung der Masterson-Methode und der sehr feinen Kommunikation habe ich eine Grundhaltung gefunden, in der ich mich mit meinem großen Herz für das lebendige Gegenüber im Allgemeinen und den Pferden im Speziellen absolut wiederfinde.
Hauptberuflich arbeite ich mit Menschen und dies unter anderem auch in tiergestützten Settings. So ergab sich schnell die Idee, meine Ausbildungen über den Weg des Masterson Method Equine Specialist zu verknüpfen. Als Anfang 2024 der erste MMES-Kurs in Europa in Südengland angeboten wurde, war ich als einzige deutsche Teilnehmerin dabei und entschied mich auch direkt diesen Ausbildungszweig noch dazu zu absolvieren. Beide Ausbildungen, also MMCP und MMES, befruchteten sich erfolgreich gegenseitig, so dass ich seit April 2024 beide Bezeichnungen führen darf. Dabei ist Stillstand für mich keine Option und ständige Fortbildung auch weiterhin selbstverständlich.
Durch die Kombination von MMCP und MMES habe ich neben den „normalen“ Masterson Method Behandlungen ein spezielles Augenmerk auf die Bedürfnisse von Schul- und Therapiepferden und den Einsatz bestimmter Aspekte im Rahmen der pferdegestützen Arbeit mit Menschen.
Ich lebe im Osten des Landkreises Gifhorn, zwischen Celle, Wolfsburg und Lüneburg und bin gerne in diesem Bereich unterwegs. Für weiter entfernte Behandlungen oder allgemeine Fragen freue ich mich aber ebenfalls über eine Kontaktaufnahme per Telefon, WhatsApp oder Email.

I am Marja Kuhl and since April 2024 I am both Masterson Method Certified Practitioner Equine (MMCP) and Masterson Method Equine Specialist (MMES).
I live in the countryside on the southern edge of the Lüneburg Heath in Lower Saxony.
Like so many, I was infected with the horse virus at an early age, although horses played no role in my other family. Nevertheless, as a native city child, I always managed to somehow get opportunities for horse contact in a roundabout way. A move to the countryside offered new opportunities and so I bought my first pony with my savings at the age of 14 and the lifelong journey really began. There have been many stations on this journey so far, from leisure to western, endurance riding, to detours into the world of competitions to the international field as a registration office member or “ground staff” for the riding daughter.
Early on, I was accompanied by the feeling that there must be more, the idea of missing pieces of the puzzle regarding living together and dealing with these wonderful animals. Over the years, I met many well-known horse people at their seminars, pored over books and attended courses. I came into contact with the Masterson world when I made my horses available for a weekend course. It was immediately clear to me that this was exactly what I wanted to learn, for the benefit of the animals and also for myself.
As part of my training as a Masterson Method® Practitioner, many pieces of the puzzle came together for me, when I put them together it opened up completely new fields of learning and perspectives. I had and still have the opportunity to constantly broaden my horizons and thus develop my own view of things. And best of all: In the absolute “per horse” attitude of the Masterson Method and the very fine communication, I have found a basic attitude in which I absolutely find myself with my big heart for the living counterpart in general and the horses in particular.
My main job is to work with people, including in animal-assisted settings. So the idea quickly arose to link my trainings via the path of the Masterson Method Equine Specialist. When the first MMES course in Europe was offered in southern England at the beginning of 2024, I was the only German participant and decided to complete this branch of training right away. Both trainings, MMCP and MMES, successfully fertilized each other, so that I have been allowed to use both designations since April 2024.
Standing still is not an option for me and constant training will continue to be a matter of course. Through the combination of MMCP and MMES, I have a special focus on the needs of school and therapy horses and the use of certain aspects in the context of horse-assisted work with humans in addition to the “normal” Masterson Method treatments.
